Noodlin’ on the Fixed Gear
February 23, 2009
I’m ready for some warm weather biking. Just ran across some shots from a night of street shooting in the Fall. A few guys on fixed gear bikes were riding in front of the Guthrie theater in downtown Minneapolis. The spot lights in the overhang at the front entrance made for some fun lighting. Only two months or so until warm breeze outdoor shoots and biking.

Career Day at Battle Creek Middle School
May 28, 2008
Not long ago, I had the opportunity to talk with a few classes of kids at Battle Creek Middle School about being a professional photographer. It was career day, and the kids were hearing about everything from engineering jobs to positions in social work. I thought I was keeping everyone pretty interested with my presentation until a student expressed some pretty serious disappointment after hearing that I was not a “celebrity photographer” and that I had no idea who the Jonas Brothers were. The day was a lot of fun and it was a riot interacting with the kids.
A New Season
May 13, 2008
It’s been a long winter, but warmth and a new website have finally arrived just in time! When you spend six months perfecting your jumping on the bed technique, you start to get some good air. Now I have the shots to prove it and a place to put them.
This new site, created by friend and design talent, Sean Tubridy, blueoverblue.com, will be much easier to update than the old, so check back in once in a while to see new imagery and find out what’s been happening in our studio and the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District.
