Happy New Year!

Another year has flown by! Can’t believe how fast the kids are growing up. They still don’t have a problem hamming it up for the camera, however. Peace and success to you in 2010.

A big thank you to the Minnesota Valley Photography Club for inviting me to speak and present some of my work! I had a great time. It is always fun to be around people who are passionate about creating images and becoming better photographers! I also owe a thank you to Kyle Krohn over a West Photo for facilitating my participation, and to Mark Freier for sending along a few shots of the evening. The shot of Meatloaf speaking…oh wait that’s me, is one of Marks’s and the other is an iPhone shot that I took of the salon portion of the evening.

Just had to post a shot of the studio neat and tidy for Art Attack. If you missed it, fret not, you can still stop by on a First Thursday! Oh, and the other shot is of the Magic Bus Cafe that was set up outside for the whole three day event. Delicious food, peace and love.

Turns out Chase Jarvis picked one of my images from his The Best Camera site for his iPhone giveaway. This screen shot is taken from his blog. The app that he put out that corresponds to the website is definitely worth checking out. You can add a variety of “filters” to your image very quickly and then send the finished image off to the site you choose at the same time that you are saving it to your phone. You can learn about the app, website, and a book of iPhone images that Chase just put out here.
Cheers to Chase for the app and the phone!

Here is a short video about some of my photo work that was produced by Dale Bluestein of partnershipmedia.tv. It was shot as part of a group of videos highlighting artists in the Northrup King Building in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. They ran on channel six in the Twin Cities area.

I grabbed this shot with my iPhone one day behind our studio building. The two large windows right in front of the train are a part of our space. The shot was processed through an iPhone app called Camera Bag, and then I used Photoshop to age it a little. I love the timeless quality of the locomotive and the old brick warehouse.

I’m excited to say that my Panhandler Project images are hanging at the Mpls Photo Ctr in conjunction with the In Our Own Backyard exhibit.
