I grabbed this shot with my iPhone one day behind our studio building. The two large windows right in front of the train are a part of our space. The shot was processed through an iPhone app called Camera Bag, and then I used Photoshop to age it a little. I love the timeless quality of the locomotive and the old brick warehouse.

I’m excited to say that my Panhandler Project images are hanging at the Mpls Photo Ctr in conjunction with the In Our Own Backyard exhibit.

The photo symposium at the MN Landscape Arboretum was a lot of fun. We had over a hundred people participate! It was a pleasure to meet and present with fellow photographers, John Pennoyer and John Gregor. I’m looking forward to teaching the Photographing People workshop on Saturday July 18th from 9:00 to 4:30. If you are interested in a fun and informative day of photography in a relaxed environment, there should still be room to reserve your spot in the class.

Mpls photographer, Adam Hester, had three images in the show that were really hauntingly beautiful. My bad iPhone pic doesn’t do it justice, but here is one of them.

I went over to MCP yesterday to take down five panhandler images that were part of the “Connections: Documenting Our Social and Cultural Links” show. The show ran from May 8th to June 6th. If you didn’t catch them there, I’m hoping there may be another chance if we can arrange to hang them in conjunction with the
In Our Own Back Yard, U.S. Poverty in the 21st Century exhibit that opens on Friday July 3rd.
